My Story
Growing up in the digital age, I was always intrigued by technology. As a tech-savvy individual, I frequently helped my teachers, parents, and peers with tech and media. As a child, I used technology and video games to cope with my insecurities about being overweight, hiding my emotions and fears. Reflecting now, I realize I never shared these insecurities with anyone and didn’t understand the psychological barriers that kept me from expressing my feelings.

While researching mental health and the effects of media and technology, I felt I’d found a crucial missing piece after 12 years. I discovered that although men make up about 50% of the global population, they represent around 80% of suicide rates. This shocking statistic led me to explore why. I learned that societal gender stereotypes and stigmas significantly impact men's mental health, with the expectation that men should be less emotional and "tough." This disconnect highlighted the urgent need for changing how society views men’s mental health. I learned there was no community such as The ManPark explicitly focusing on helping young men, ages 12-26 years old, to learn how to deal with life's transitions, and I felt called to create this safe space.
I founded ManPark in 2022 to change the stigma surrounding young men seeking help in modern America. Our community aims to raise awareness about young men's mental health through education, connection, and practical tools. Our vision is to inspire others to support young men suffering in silence by fostering a culture of understanding and support.
